Insert the brown wire of the MIDI IN cable into the 3rd round hole. Insert the supplied screwdriver into the rectangular slot above the round hole. Press the screwdriver into the slot to open the terminal and the brown wire will slide into place. Remove the screwdriver from the slot and the wire will now be firmly held in place. Repeat this procedure for the orange wire, in the 4th hole.

Take the long, 4 way cable, that came with the DINtribe and connect it to the Monotribe connector marked SERIAL, located on the left side of the Monotribe board.

step eight

Position the DINtribe in the lower right corner. The MIDI cables should point straight up, under the right hand side of the upper board, toward the top right corner. Connect the other end of the 4 way cable to the DINtribe board.

step nine

Now we need to make a small, semi-circular opening, in the wall of the base, to pass the MIDI cables through. It's easier if you disconnect the base from the main body. You'll need a round file, of similar diameter to the MIDI cables. With the base oriented as shown in the photo, carefully file the opening in the lower right corner, on the horizontal edge, close to the screw pillar. File a little at a time, regularly checking the size against the cable.

step ten
